You’re not alone

Sometimes we feel like we are all alone in our journey. There are some days when we need an extra nudge, support or a helping hand. If you’re like me, you have to work hard at asking for help. It’s a daily challenge. Surrounding yourself with people who compliment you is one way to tackle this challenge. Not only will they help you without you having to ask, but they will also make you better. You can learn from them and vice versa. Isn’t that what life is all about, becoming better each day?

The other challenge is accepting help. We have to ask for help and then accept it. Find someone who understands the journey and the struggle. You may have people who often offer the help you need. Again, my knee jerk reaction is to say “No thank you”. A lot of moms do this. Why? Because we feel we can and have to do “everything”. Listen up. We don’t have to do everything ourselves.

Take this week to be aware of when you need or could use some help.

Ask for it.

Accept it.

Set aside your pride or the invisible imposition. You may learn something. Take that much needed break to reset and do some creative thinking. You’ll find that others love to help and may do the task much better than you can. And that’s not only ok, but better for everyone.

Reach out. Speak up. Call a friend. Write a post. Do something. Don’t continue believing you’re alone. Because you’re not.

You got this.
