Every day is valentine’s day

Valentine’s Day. I’ve never cared for it, truth be told. Not to put a damper on those of you who love it. By all means, enjoy!

I know I’m not alone, though. So I thought I’d put that out there. My true forever valentines are and always will be my three kids. The true loves of my life. They will never know just how much I love them.

I prefer to think about today as a reminder to tell the ones you love how much you love them EVERY DAY. Not just one day a year. Send flower just because, not just today. Buy candy because they love it, not because of today. Be annoying with your messages of love and adoration, because time flies too quickly and you never know how much time you do have.

And most of all, don’t ‘forget yourself. Me? I bought myself a few things today because we all need to practice taking care of ourselves first and foremost.

Happy Valentine’s Day to those who love it. For those of you like me, it’s another day for me to remind my kids how much I love and miss them.
